Kelten is a stunning, limited edition field knife, that looks like it has been carved out of the environment it has been designed to work in.
The full tang blade is hand made from O1 carbon steel which is acid etched before being stone-washed. This gives the blade a unique appearance and hides minor blemishes, scratches and sharpening marks. The contoured Oak handle scales provide a very positive grip and are scorched before being finished in a linseed oil mixture for protection.
The blade has a 6mm spine with a flat grind, meaning it works well for battening, chopping, food preparation as well as general slicing and cutting. The square shoulders on the spine will generate showers of sparks with a ferro rod for fire lighting. As with all carbon steel knives, it should be dried after use, stored out of the sheath (when unused for extended periods) and the blade oiled occasionally. Look after this knife and it will give you a lifetime of service.
The Kelten Hand Made Field Knife is a very capable all-rounder, with applications for bushcraft, camping, field work, survival and forestry; it really is an excellent field knife of exceptional quality.
Kelten is supplied with a black, custom made, pouch style sheath which is made from 3.5mm vegetable tanned leather which is impregnated with waxes; all edges are burnished with beeswax. It is sewn with contrasting grey nylon thread (for extra strength). It may be enhanced by the inclusion of a matching dangler which you can see here.
This is an excellent knife that instills confidence no matter what task you throw at it.
