The iconic Stetson Open Road represents the ultimate mix of Western heritage and modern versatility. Introduced in 1937, the Open Road was originally sold with an open crown, which could then be creased to the customer’s liking. Since 1948, it has been finished with a traditional, hand-pressed cattleman crease, and has been worn by modern pioneers and trailblazers ever since, from artists and outlaws to Presidents.

The wool for this Open Road comes from animal welfare-conscious, mulesing-free sheep farming, processed into stiffened yet supple felt in Asahi Guard® quality. It boasts water-repellent, hard-wearing properties and is equipped with breathable, moisture-wicking COOLMAX® sweatband for added comfort. The chic cattleman pleat, a narrow leather trim band with feather and the edging around the brim give this Open Road a classical look.
How do I find my hat size?
Take a measuring tape and place it at the back of your head. Next, draw both sides of the tape to the front, just above the ears and over the eyebrows, bringing it together roughly in the middle of your forehead. Please be careful not to pull the tape measure too tight. You can now use a mirror to read off your head circumference.
