SEE THE CASSTROM COLLECTION HERE

Named after the Swedish word for wolverine, the Järv Series embodies the animal’s spirit — tough, fearless, and built to thrive in the wild. With dark-stained curly birch handles and razor-sharp 15N20 carbon tool steel blades, these knives are made for those who live and work outdoors.

The Woodsman Järv takes a proven Casström design and refines it for pure control. The slimmer, straighter handle and nimble 3.2mm blade make it a carver’s dream — perfect for feather sticks, trap making, tool crafting, food prep, and all the camp chores that keep life in the wild running smoothly. It’s lighter in hand yet strong enough to baton wood or handle tougher bushcraft jobs with ease.

Each knife is finished with ergonomic hand-shaped birch handles, giving a secure grip even when wet, and fitted with a vegetable-tanned leather sheath for safe, dependable carry. Built on a full-tang construction, the Woodsman Järv delivers field-proven reliability — even if the handle takes a knock.

Now with a 3.2mm blade thickness, long requested by Casström users, this updated design feels faster, more balanced, and even more capable for bushcraft, carving, and wilderness use.

15N20 Carbon Tool Steel

Built for performance, not polish. 15N20 carbon steel has long been trusted by traditional bladesmiths for its toughness, fine edge, and easy maintenance. It sharpens quickly, holds a razor edge, and shrugs off hard work like carving, food prep, or batoning. It’s not stainless — a quick wipe and a drop of oil keep it in prime condition. Over time, it’ll develop a patina that tells the story of your adventures.
