The Iron and Resin Klamath Jacquard Flannel Shirt is one of those shirts that does most of the talking for you.
Made from 100% heavyweight cotton, the Klamath combines a distinctive Southwestern-inspired Jacquard pattern with the sort of rugged construction we've come to expect from Iron and Resin. It's substantial, warm and built to be worn hard — whether that's on the bike, around camp or simply thrown over a T-shirt when the temperature drops.
Pre-washed and brushed for softness from the outset, it feels like an old favourite without looking like one.
Unlike a printed pattern sitting on the surface of the fabric, the Klamath's distinctive striped design is woven into the cloth on Jacquard looms.
That gives the fabric considerably more depth and character, while the black colourway keeps the Southwestern influence understated and easy to wear.
And importantly for us, it's 100% cotton — no unnecessary synthetic blend.
Heavyweight flannel can sometimes take time to soften up. Iron and Resin gets around that by pre-washing and brushing the cotton, giving the Klamath a soft, comfortable hand straight from the start.
You still get the weight and substance of a proper flannel shirt, just without having to spend six months breaking it in.
The Klamath isn't relying on good fabric alone.
Double and triple-needle felled seams are used throughout, with a double-layer shoulder and back yoke adding reinforcement where a shirt takes plenty of wear.
It's the sort of construction detail you might not notice the first time you put it on — but you'll appreciate several years down the road.
Custom Anchor Piston metal buttons provide a distinctly Iron and Resin finishing touch, while twin chest patch pockets keep things practical.
Single-button cuffs and sleeve plackets complete a straightforward design without adding detail simply for the sake of it.
