This striking version of the popular Casström No.10 Forest Knife is dressed in stabilised curly birch scales that have been infused with a blend of resins that create an "Ocean" like effect.
Featuring a 3.8mm thick, satin finish blade which is 10cm/4" long and made from Swedish 14c28n stainless knife steel heat treated to achieve a hardness of 57-59 HRC.
The stabilising process makes the handle scales impregnable to bacteria and moisture and strengthens them against movement and cracking and makes them suitable for a wide range of environments and climates. This is a robust outdoor knife with lots of visual interest.
The thick (vegetable tanned) leather sheath features a wide belt loop and a drip hole to avoid moisture collection. Consider enhancing the way the knife hangs by adding a matching dangler.
